Veritas (The Truth)

I have waited too long to unleash my thoughts upon the world. Now with the power of the web I can reach the masses and add clarity to a mad world. While there are many opinions and facts that are bandied around, most times there is a clear and sober truth. Many choose not to see it. I plan to place a lens of clarity to what we hear and see. Most times it shall not be pretty, and it cuts to the quick when it must. So for those who are politically faint of heart. . . tread no more further.

Every journey begins with a single step. . .

I shall use my first post to further describe my exploits here in the Bloggershpere. I plan a campaign to destroy misinformation, eliminate ignorance and squash that evil thing known to us as spin. How, you ask, will I accomplish this monumental task? I shall use a full arsenal of facts historical context and common sense.

The utter joy of this experience is that I get to share it with you. And you get to share back. I see this Blog as the reincarnation of the classic Roman forum—an open place to discuss ideas. What a brilliant concept.

With that said, I shall now put forth certain postulates about the Blog:

1. This Blog is intended to invoke thought about the truth. I am sure if people read this Blog (which may not happen—for who is Erin the Scribe?) will have many things to say. Please feel free to comment as you like. Be critical. Be nasty (release of anger is healthy). Be supportive. Yet, keep in mind, I am one mortal soul, without an editor. There will be times when there will be blemishes of the grammatical kind. Comment on my abilities as a writer will be a waste of time to all parties involved. If you want to criticize English, please find a blog pertaining to the rhetoric arts.

2. I shall write to specific topics of my choosing in each entry. Some may say I have an agenda. Well, I do. I will respond to off topic comments if they amuse me.

3. I can only bring you to the waters of truth. If you choose not to drink and are stubborn, I am sorry. Good day

Now, with that out of the way. . .let the Truth begin
